Following years of dreaming, I established In Bloom Editing in 2026 to help authors bring their writing to life. I have a special love for cozy novels and wildlife-conservation-focused work, though I welcome projects of all kinds, from scholarly writing to books for all ages (children, middle grade, young adult, and adult). Each piece is approached with care and intention.

Every offering is thoughtfully designed to support your work from the big-picture storytelling elements down to the smallest details, creating a process that feels both purposeful and supportive. My goal is to offer an experience that feels encouraging, collaborative, and genuinely uplifting, where your voice is always honored.

Along the way, I share gentle recommendations and guidance, giving you the space to reflect, review, and implement what feels right to you. There is no rush here. You are given the time you need at every stage, so your work can unfold naturally and feel fully your own.

WELCOME TO IN BLOOM EDITING

WELCOME TO IN BLOOM EDITING

I have always loved reading. As a child, my family read to me every day, and my room was filled with books that quickly became some of my most treasured companions.

I went on to attend the University of Tampa, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2008. With small class sizes and thoughtful professors, it was a place that deepened both my love for language and my appreciation for the stories we share.

Soon after, I joined a family-owned news group in Oklahoma, where I wrote uplifting stories and edited six newspapers. It was there that I began to understand the impact that thoughtful editing can have, not only on the words themselves, but on the people reading them.

From there, I became an editor for a global nonprofit organization, working on scholarly books and guiding them through the publication process. I had the joy of collaborating with authors from around the world. I later spent eight years with another global nonprofit, editing one of their scholarly journals and continuing to support meaningful, research-driven work.

In 2026, I chose to follow a long-held dream and create In Bloom Editing. It is a privilege to bring nearly two decades of experience into this space and to support authors as they bring their work to life.

About the Editor

Kelsy

(she/her)

Each project is approached with care and deep respect for your voice. Rather than reshaping your work into something unfamiliar, I focus on supporting what is already there, helping it grow into its strongest and most fully realized form. The name In Bloom Editing reflects this philosophy.

I look forward to getting to know you and creating an experience that feels both supportive and inclusive. You are always welcome here.

You're in the right place.

always, and always."
